Dear Maya, my baby, my love, my true loyal friend, my little complainer, my spoiled princess.

What can I say? I brought you home when you were just about four months old, back in December 2013. I still remember the day I heard your story at the pet shop. They told me your previous owners had taken you home but returned you because you were too hyper and full of energy. They even gave you the name Snow.

But when I saw you, everything changed. You were jumping back and forth, running in circles with joy. I don’t know if you were truly happy to see me or just bursting with energy—but for me, it was love at first sight. The way your little tail wagged so fast, the sound of your high-pitched bark… I knew we had clicked.

I remember giving you your very first bath. You were so loud, complaining as if the water was hurting you—but of course, it wasn’t. Afterwards, I brought you home, where you quickly made friends with Poppy (our Shih Tzu) and Mumu (our Golden Retriever), and you settled into our family as if you had always belonged.

You always wanted to sleep in bed with me. But whenever you jumped down to drink water, you couldn’t climb back up again—so you’d end up half-asleep, your front half on the bed and your back legs hanging down to the floor. Oh Maya, I could write a whole book about you.

Your energy filled our family with so much joy:

Sneaking you food under the table during meals.
Giving you your favorite treats, which you swallowed whole without chewing.
Going on walks and car rides together—oh baby, how you loved car rides.
Running from street dogs side by side during our long walks.
Simply feeding you, holding you, hugging you, and loving you.

Oh Maya, my baby… I wish God had given you more years with us. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there during your final moments. But please know you were surrounded with love from all of us. You will be missed dearly—your high-pitched howls during baths, your little complaints when you wanted to go into our bedrooms, the way you asked for treats or called us to open the door when you wanted to come back inside after doing your business.

You will forever be in my heart—my sugar, my Maya, my หมูตุ้ย.I love you endlessly. May you rest peacefully with the angels. I hope you’re up there playing with Mumu and Poppy, enjoying your favorite treats.

Please remember, Maya: I love you with all my heart. I always have, and I always will. Our whole family loves you—and we always will. 💙
